1. What we collect

When you install LinkGuard, we collect:

• Shop domain — to identify your store
• Product IDs and handles — to create redirects
• Collection IDs and handles — to map collections to products
• Redirect paths — to store the redirects we create

2. Why we collect it

We collect this data solely to provide the LinkGuard service: automatically creating 301 redirects when a product is deleted, preventing 404 errors on your store.

3. Data storage

Your data is stored securely on Railway (Google Cloud Platform, European region). We retain your data until you uninstall the app from your Shopify store.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. We do not use your data for any purpose other than operating the app.

5. Data deletion

When you uninstall LinkGuard, all your data is automatically deleted within 48 hours via our app/uninstalled webhook handler.

6. GDPR compliance

We comply with GDPR through Shopify’s mandatory webhooks:

• customers/data_request — we provide all data associated with a customer email
• customers/redact — we remove all customer-related data
• shop/redact — we remove all shop-related data
